Bach’n Cafe - Maraetai Beach, Auckland, New Zealand

The restaurant Bach'n has been using Infranet Systems technology for monitoring and controlling their water since 2007. Initially the site started with a standard water controller monitoring two water tank levels, system pressure and the UV sterilizer. With plans to expand the fantastic Maraetai beach front site, a Well was installed to ensure the site had sufficient water, eliminating the need for water tanker deliveries. The Well received the latest Infranet Systems water lever transducer to measure the Well level and with a few key strokes the controller was updated with the latest program to run the Well pump, all configured via the internet.

With the addition of three apartments at the rear of the property In July 2010 the system expanded further. The system required a new Grundfos CR range vertical pump and UV filtration system including irrigation. Now this site has two separate water systems operating with irrigation all on one controller. Both systems have water meters that are also fully monitored allowing the client to charge out water usage without having to read the meters onsite.

With the latest technology all water usage is tracked down to the litre. If anything should go wrong with the internal water system, alerts are sent via email and SMS text messaging within seconds of detecting a fault.

UV Sterilizer Monitoring & Control

Infranet Systems take monitoring UV sterilizers to another level. Rather than lamp failures beeping in a pump house or under a building somewhere, the sterilizer information is available online with viewing from anywhere in the world via a web browser live. In the event of lamp failures or low UV levels notifications are sent via email and SMS text messaging.
